Sebastian Fitzek

Sebastian Fitzek is a researcher at the Medical Image Analysis & Artificial Intelligence (MIAAI) Group at Danube Private University (DPU) in Krems, Austria. His academic focus lies at the intersection of health services research, artificial intelligence in medicine, and medical sociology, with a strong emphasis on both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.

Dr. Fitzek has contributed to multiple international research projects exploring the integration of AI in clinical education, radiological diagnostics, and healthcare communication. His work includes systematic reviews, statistical modeling, and bibliometric analyses in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams across Europe.

He is the author of the book “Introduction to Data Science. A Python Path for a Non-computer Scientist” and has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles on the ethical and practical dimensions of AI in healthcare.
