Copyright and Reuse Framework

The journal should state clearly what rights are retained by authors, what rights are granted to the journal, and under which conditions readers, repositories, and third parties may share or reuse published material. The guidance below gives the formal policy, while the sections here provide a quick orientation.

01

Ownership

Clarify whether authors retain copyright, transfer specific publication rights, or grant the journal a non-exclusive license for dissemination.

02

Reuse

Explain how articles may be downloaded, cited, shared, archived, translated, or reused, and what attribution requirements apply in each case.

03

Permissions

State when reuse is automatically permitted under the journal policy and when additional permission from authors, rights holders, or the journal is required.
