CHRONIC PELVIC PAIN IS A SYNDROME WITH A WIDE RANGE OF POSSIBLE CAUSES OF GENITAL AND EXTRAGENITAL ORIGIN. ENDOMETRIOSIS IS A CHRONIC HORMONAL DEPENDENT DISEASE WITH UNSPECIFFIC SYMPTOMS, AMONG WHICH CHRONIC PAIN IS PERHAPS THE MOST DISTURBING, MAKING THE PATIENT SEEK FOR MEDICAL ADVICE. TREATMENT OPTIONS ARE VARIED AND MUST BE PROMPTLY APPLIED. THIS ARTICLE HIGHLIGHTS THE MAIN ASPECTS OF CHRONIC PELVIC PAIN AND ENDOMETRIOSIS WITH ELOQUENT EXAMPLES FROM OUR EXPERIENCE.
