Abstract
THE HEALTH LEGISLATION OF THE ROMANIAN OLD KINGDOM CONSISTED OF THE MAIN HEALTH LAWS OF 1874 AND 1910, AS WELL AS OF OTHER HEALTH LAWS, GENERAL HEALTH REGULATIONS AND LOCAL HEALTH REGULATIONS. WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE HEALTH LEGISLATION, THE HEALTH LAW S REPRESENTED ONLY A SMALL PART OF THE LEGISLATION. THEREFORE, THE HEALTH LEGISLATION WAS COMPLETED BY THE HEALTH REGULATIONS WHICH ARE MORE NUMEROUS AND AS IMPORTANT AS THE LAWS. THE GENERAL HEALTH REGULATIONS WERE ISSUED BY THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, - SUCH AS THE HOSPITALS’ ADMINISTRATIONS, THE URBAN COUNTY AND COMMUNAL COUNCILS - AND THEY WERE APPLICABLE TO A WELL - DEFINED ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT, AFTER THEY HAD BEEN SANCTIONED BY THE EXECUTIVE POWER.
